It’s that time again. Our annual neighborhood Halloween Decorating Contest is kicking off as we welcome October! Set your spooky talents free and join us in making our blocks as BOO-TIFUL as ever. Along with our traditional House Decorating Contest, this year you can enter our new Door Decorating contest. With a few simple items from your house and some creativity, anyone can make their door spooktacular. Here are the details:
House Decorating Contest: Calling all haunted houses, sweet & spooky yards and classic halloween stylings. Judges will choose their top house picks for categories including best lights/effects, classic halloween, and spooky vibes. Winners will be announced shortly after Halloween and prizes will be awarded.
Door Decorating Contest: Here’s your chance to get creative on a smaller scale. Deck out your door with your favorite fall or halloween decor. You can find materials in your home like paper, felt, glitter and more. It’s a great way to get younger halloween fans in the mix. Top door will win a prize and all who enter will get a thank you surprise!
Proud of Your Pumpkin? Want the judges to check out a painted or carved pumpkin that’s just ghoulishly good? Enter your pumpkin creation and win Top Pumpkin prize new this year!
No fee to enter and you can enter in one or all of our contests. Email heathermazen@gmail.com by October 24th and you’ll get details on the deadline for decorating and dates for judging!
All entries must be in by Oct 24th and decorations set by Oct 27th so judging can occur over the days leading up to Halloween. If you have special requests for judging on Halloween night due to certain effects being used just let us know:)
